How we work & your safety

What you can expect from us before and during your trip.

Small groups

Our trips are designed for 1 to 8 people; larger groups are possible on request. A small group fits in one vehicle, stays in family guesthouses and yurt camps, and moves at a pace that suits everyone.

Local guides who know the routes

We work with guides and drivers from the regions you travel through. They know the trails, the roads, the local weather and the people, and they speak the local languages.

A written quote before you pay

Before you pay anything you get a written quote: route, dates, price, payment terms and cancellation terms. Nothing is binding until both sides confirm in writing.

Clear about what's included

Every tour states what is included and what is not — transport, guides, accommodation, meals, entrance fees, activities — so you know in advance what, if anything, you will pay for on the spot.

Altitude and weather

Many routes go above 2,500 m, and Song-Kul lies at 3,016 m. We plan time to acclimatize. Mountain weather can change within hours, and high passes can see snow even in summer. If conditions turn bad, your guide changes the plan: safety comes before the itinerary.

Travel insurance

We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers trekking, horseback riding and high altitude, including medical evacuation. Please tell us about any health conditions when you send your request.
